Gordon Memorial Health Services (GMH) have taken their talents to a new location in Rushville.
But all parties involved hope that the new location will provide all the same services that were offered at the former location but with better access for all involved.
The Rushville Clinic is designated as a Rural Health Clinic and with that title comes some requirements.
The Clinic is required to directly provide routine diagnostic and lab services, provide a variety of lab testing, have the required drugs and biologicals to treat emergencies, and have arrangements with 1 or more hospitals to provide medically necessary services unavailable at that location.
The Rushville clinic has been in compliance with these requirements for as long as it has been open but will now be able to provide those services in a more convenient location.
“Moving the Rushville clinic from the old location to the current location will offer many advantages for our patients,” said Jordan Morris, PA-C.
“The new office is located right off the main road and is easy to find. We will feature new, updated patient rooms, equipment, and will provide a clinic schedule that our Rushville residents can rely on for their medical needs. Most importantly, this facility is better equipped to allow for easier and safer access for our patients who rely on wheelchairs or other medical devices without needing to use an elevator or climb stairs,” added Morris.
The process of the move and creating a seamless transition has been at the forefront for the staff of GMH.
“Our staff have worked tirelessly to make this important move happen. A smooth transition is very important for us, and we are working diligently to get everything ready for our grand opening,” said Morris.
Monday, October 3 will mark the first day that the clinic will be operational.
Patients can still call the main phone number, (308) 282-0401, to schedule appointments at the Rushville location and to or ask any questions.
The hours will remain the same as well but could change in the future if more providers are added to the GMH staff.
There will be an Open House on October 3 from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the Rushville clinic. Refreshments will be provided free of charge.
Providing high quality health care is of the utmost importance to Gordon Memorial Health Services and having those services continue for the members of Rushville is key.
“The Rushville and surrounding communities are very important to us. The residents are comprised of our friends, family, and people we truly care about,” said Morris.
“We are so privileged to be able to serve them.”
