21st Century’s Jonathon Johansen becomes companies first Certified Level 3 Technician

21st Century Equipment employee Jonathon Johansen has always had the desire to keep learning.

And lucky for him, John Deere provided an excellent outlet to continue to develop his skills as a technician.

At a small company party recently, Johansen was recognized as a Technician - Level 3 certification; the highest level a Deere employee can reach.

Essentially, Johansen has completed the entire criteria to be a fully certified Deere technician.

It was not an easy road though. 44 different classes that honed the skills of the technician in a multitude of areas.

Johansen completed the courses in a variety of avenues which included online, via zoom meetings, and in person.

The certification is not only an important personal milestone but it will have an immediate positive affect for customers in the Sheridan County area.

“Basically it’s more knowledge on what we are working on each day,” said Johansen.

Taking the classes while working his full-time job and juggling family time was not easy. But the motivation for Johansen was a simple one.

“My motivation is just to keep going on my education and always be learning,” he said.
