Robert Melvin Morsett, 93, of Rushville, Nebraska, died April 20, 2023, at Gordon Countryside Care with family by his side. He was born June 14, 1929, in Bennett County, South Dakota, to Frank and Pearl Morsett.

Bob met the love of his life Leora Belsky and they were married July 21, 1951 at Martin, South Dakota. They made their home in Martin where a daughter, Linda Lou, was born. After they moved to Merriman, a son joined their family, Frankie Joe.

Betty (Lou) Maltsberger Burton passed away suddenly on April 5, 2023, at the Gordon Memorial Hospital. Betty was born August 1, 1939, in Elliott, Iowa to Charlotte Eleanor Lewis and Walter Carl Maltsberger.

Betty attended school in Carson, Iowa, where she played ½ court basketball and even went to state, while playing in knee length dresses!

Judene Adair Beguin (Judy) was born to Henry and Marge Schumacher May 30,1943 in Neligh, Nebraska. She passed away April 12, 2023, in Chadron, Nebraska. She attended Neligh Public School until the fourth grade. The family then moved to Holyoke, Colorado where she finished her elementary years and attended Holyoke High School.

She married Ron Berryman and moved to California and later Idaho. To this union two sons were born, Kirk and Craig. Judy and the boys moved to Rushville, NE in 1969. It

On Thursday, March 30, 2023 Loretta Hope Brickner passed away at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home. She was 92 years old.

Sharon “Sherry” Moller passed away March 31, 2023, in Rushville, Nebraska.

Born in 1946 to Peter and Jacoba Wildeman, Sherry was raised and attended high school in Sheldon, Iowa. She grew up with eight siblings in a tight knit home. She married the love of her life, Henry “Hank” Moller in 1963. Hank and Sherry resided in Hot Springs, SD where they raised their four children: Jackie, Tammy, Tracie and Brad, until moving to Rushville, NE in 1999.

Sheri Budd passed away Monday, May 8, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born November 28, 1943 in Rushville, Neb. She passed away at the age of 79 years.

Graveside services will be held at the ranch, 18 miles south of Rushville at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, 2023.

Sheri was a kind and loving person who was loved by all.


Janet Grover

Jan Grover suddenly passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023 after a short battle with cancer. Janet (Jan) Lee Grover was born June 23, 1963 to Glenn and Ursula Pulliam in Stockton, California. She attended Martin Grade School and graduated from Bennett County High School in 1981. While in high school she enjoyed playing in the band and was a member of National Honor Society.

Carole Dishong

Carole Kay Coon Dishong, 86, of Gordon, Nebraska, died on March 19, 2023 at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh, Nebraska, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 15, 1936, in Albany, Nebraska. The daughter of the late Henry and Dorris Coon. She was the second of three siblings.

Della Mae (Fanning) Trimble, 88, was called to her Heavenly Home by the Lord on March 14, 2023.

Della was born July 27, 1934, at home in Tuthill, South Dakota to Cecil and Frances (Mone) Fanning. Della was the oldest of 4 girls; Wilma, Verla, and Zona. She spent her childhood on the family ranch just south of Vetal, South Dakota. Joyce Estella (Yardley) Sones, 93, of Rushville, Nebraska passed away on Friday March 3, 2023 at Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, South Dakota. 

Joyce was born February 28, 1930 on the family farm North of Clinton, Nebraska to Don and Stella (Smith) Yardley. Joyce graduated High School in Gordon, Nebraska with the class of 1946.

Bonnie Marrs

Bonnie Lou (Weber) Marrs was born in Merriman, Nebraska, on November 20, 1928, to Fredrick W. and Vera E. (Stultz) Weber. She passed from this life to her eternal home on March 1, 2023, at Chadron Community Hospital in Chadron, Nebraska.

She married the love of her life, Oscar Dale Marrs on August 30, 1946, in Valentine, Nebraska. They celebrated 51 years of marriage before Dale passed away on December 22, 1997. To this union 4 children were born, Terry, Bill, Don, and Dee.
