Edward Morton “Mort” Tiensvold

Edward Morton Tiensvold, “Mort”, went home to Jesus ’arms January 25th 2022 after struggling with issues exacerbated by the devasting fire which destroyed their home. Morton was born May 12th, 1933 at his parent’s home. Frederick Dean Heathershaw

Fredrick Dean Heathershaw was born on April 28, 1953 in Rapid City, SD to Charles and Verna (Pourier) Heathershaw. Fred made his last and final ride here on earth on January 24, 2022 at the Oglala Sioux Lakota Nursing Home in Rushville, NE.

Fred attended grade school at Rapid Valley and in Interior, South Dakota then went on to graduate from Rapid City Central in 1971. He was an adventurous little boy and continued to be so his entire life. He was a jack of all trades: a talented artist


Maurene Garner

Maurene Gail Garner passed away at her home in North Platte surrounded by her loving family on January 18, 2022, at the age of 67.

Maurene was born to Maurice and Jurene (Powell) Green on September 10, 1954, in Alliance where she grew up. Maurene graduated from Alliance High School in 1972 then moved to Omaha where she worked for Mutual of Omaha. She then settled back in Western Nebraska where she married Jim Garner and devoted her young life to raising her two beautiful girls.



Marty Muck

Marty Allen Muck, 64, of Gordon, NE passed from this life to the next on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Scottsbluff, NE.  

Marty Muck was born to Richard (Dick) Everett Muck and Sharon K (Hale) Muck on Dec 30, 1957. His loving parents brought Marty home to the Muck ranch south of Gordon, NE.  He loved ranching and farming. He loved the river and wildlife and all his family, neighbors, where he raised his children.  Marty was a friend to all and enjoyed going to town and calling to


Alan Easton

Alan Easton was born to Ernest ‘Ernie’ and Virginia ‘Jean’ Easton on October 13, 1951, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He passed from this life on January 14, 2022, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Alan graduated in Iowa and moved to Gordon when he was 18. Alan worked at the packing plant, Jack & Jill Grocery Store, Gordon Memorial Hospital and Countryside Care. He retired in 2018.

Alan was married to Sandy Timm and the couple had two children


Terry Nelson

Terry Leonard Nelson was born June 8, 1955, to Forrest and Hazeloraine (Sandoz) Nelson in Gordon, Nebraska. He passed away on January 7, 2022, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Terry grew up on the family ranch north of Lakeside. He made his choice to serve God when he was eleven and remained true to that choice his whole life. Terry lived with his cousins, the Swayne’s while completing the first 2 years of high school, in Gordon. He lived with Clifford and Sybil Sager while attending Rushville


Loren Paul

Loren L. Paul was born December 5, 1941, in Gordon, Nebraska, to Vernal ‘Bud’ and Eleanor ‘Toots’ (Janssen) Paul. He left this world January 8, 2022, at Gordon Memorial Hospital surrounded by family.

Loren attended District #129 School through 8th grade and graduated from Gordon High School in 1959. After graduating Loren attended electronics school in Denver, Colorado for about one year prior to enlisting in the US Navy. He was a 2nd class Radar and Electronics


Laura Lee Knoell

Laura Lee Knoell of Lake Jackson, TX passed away on December 31, 2021, with beloved husband James and children were by her side.  She passed away at the Kindred Hospital, Houston, TX at the age of 68, due to heart problems. She did however beat cancer twice. Laura was born June 4, 1953 to Walter and Laura (Hardin) Timm of Gordon, Neb.

Win Saults

Claude Winfield (Win) Saults was born October 27, 1935, in Gordon, Nebraska, the middle child to Claude H. Saults and Sylvia (Moss) Saults. He passed away peacefully January 8, 2022, at Pioneer Manor in Hay Springs, Nebraska.

Win grew up in Gordon, where he attended K-12 graduating from Gordon High School in 1953. He always loved sports. While in high school he played football, basketball, and track. He was always proud of the fact that their basketball team went to the State Tournament in

Elsie Garrett

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Elsie Elizabeth Garrett. Elsie passed away at the age of 83 on 11/20/21 at 3:35 p.m. due to complications from Covid. Elsie was born on February 10th, 1938, in Goshen, IN to Vern and Lucille Six. She had a younger sister named Mary and they were raised in North Liberty, IN.

She later married Phil Garrett in Lakeville, IN in October 1955. Elsie had seven children: Pam Hare (Vernon), Theresa Winters, Mary Musfelt (Craig), Dixie Fair


Robert H. Beguin

Robert H. Beguin was born January 29, 1940, in Hot Springs, SD, to Harold (Hub) and Garland (Johnson) Beguin. He passed away at Gordon Memorial Hospital on November 29, 2021, at the age of 81.

He grew up on the Pine Creek Ranch and attended Boiling Springs Elementary school through 8th grade. He graduated from Rushville High School in 1960.

In 1962 he married Dorothy Reeves (married 59 years) and to the union four children were born, Dixie, Rodney, Robbie and Barbara.
