Hawks Cross Country competes in Gering

The Hawks Cross Country team traveled to Gering this past week to take part in the second meet of the season.
The pair of sophomores who make up the High School team once again had strong showings for the Hawks.
Parker Wellnitz cruised his way to a 12th place finish in the race, posting a time of 19:25.80.
His teammate, Mason Albrecht, was right behind him in 37th place with a time of 22:20.95.
On the Junior High side of things, Arian Mata continued his strong running, placing 5th overall. His teammate, Grant Wellnitz, notched a strong 15th place finish as well.
The Middle School team ended up in 8th place overall as a team.
Both squads will get ready to compete once again this Friday, September 8 in Chadron. The races begin at 11:00 a.m.
